# A founder's publicity is not a business result

Restored from Instagram posts · 11 August 2023

see ? seee ?

this is exactly the problem. those li'l shitty humans.

i know an influencer who talks about content writing. suddenly she started talking about an agency. now tells everyone within 6 months that she's running a six figure agency and you can do too - if you join her course.

if you see any entrepreneur telling everyone they will teach you how to become rich like them by joining a course, RUN FROM THEM.

i know a linkedin influencer, raised funding of 130k USD seven months ago, lying about 33+ employees while only having 7 in their office. founder visited office only for two days in the past seven months.

that too - one day for an all team excursion, and the next day for an investor meet.

rest of the days that founder was "working from home" and on a road trip.

the salaries that they tell outside are lies.

that LinkedIn influencer has ran through the investment raised within the past 7 months and is struggling to pay their employees.

but lies in linkedin. entire lies on how it goes.

this isn't entrepreneurship.

i know another person who is very well known who boasts of salary hikes, who boasts about taking health insurance for employees (it's mandatory according to Indian regulations you idiot), who boasts about giving 1 lakh INR salary after 6 years of working. (which is very low in tech industry)

reality ? he barely pays 8k INR for a two year experienced person in Chennai.

wtf will someone fo by earning 8k INR as a person ? they go on and do interviews. i know that it's all sponsored interviews. or because of the falsehoods.

DO NOT BELIEVE THESE STORIES THAT COME IN SOCIAL MEDIA and blindly believe them.

do not believe them at all.

don't get depressed seeing those people in social media putting pressure on you to achieve.

you earn more in your 9 to 5 and have a personal life as well. remember that.

it's too glorified and media is giving them these fame. the reality is far different and 90% of them are lies.

measure a CEOs productivity against the number of interviews and fame events they attend. it's indirectly proportional.

the less they attend, the more their company is actually doing.

*[a qualification: these anecdotes do not establish an inverse relationship between publicity and business performance. the specific allegations need supporting records; public visibility alone cannot prove either success or dishonesty.]*
