# Two ways to judge a company

Restored from Instagram stories · 19 January 2025

people have different things to say about different companies, but i have two. one was recently in the news.

1. dunzo

2. buy me a coffee

during co*id, deepika started a cook for co*id initiative where those who can cook extra meals/food portions can donate that to the attenders and family members of those who were affected and were hospitalized and couldn’t find a care giver to provide them food.

and many of them wanted to donate towards the cause in cash.

when i talked with dunzo and buy me a coffee, dunzo gave us a loaded account to do point to point pick up send delivery of the food and bmc removed the 5% commission for those who donated money towards the cause.

i remember both of them. i know dunzo is in a bad spot right now and i feel sorry for them. i am not resourceful enough now to support them or those who helped during that time, but no good deed will go repaid by me, if not now - somehow.

atleast this public acknowledgement will remain as a testament to what they did for the society when they weren’t obligated to.

bmc is doing great as i see and i wish them more.
