Democracy does not require voters to agree with you

if you believe people chose someone else because they’re stupid, you’re already missing the point of democracy.

voters don’t owe you brilliance, alignment, or even what you think is rationality. they owe you nothing. politics isn’t an exam where the “right” answer wins - it’s a contest of persuasion, trust, and relevance.

if a large group of people looked at your ideas and still chose someone else, that’s not automatically a failure on their part. it’s a signal that you didn’t connect, didn’t convince, or didn’t offer something they valued enough.

you can argue that voters are emotional, influenced, even misled - and sometimes that may be true. so what? everything is propaganda. theirs was just successful and yours/ours failed. that doesn’t absolve you.

the entire craft of politics is built around reaching exactly those people, communicating in ways they understand, and earning their support despite all the noise, biases, and competing narratives.

if you genuinely think the electorate is flawed, then the burden on you is even higher - not lower - to bridge that gap.

calling voters stupid is not analysis. you sound retarded when you say that. it’s an excuse. it shuts down introspection. it avoids the harder question: why didn’t your message land? why didn’t your ideas feel credible, urgent, or compelling enough?

because in a democracy, legitimacy comes from being chosen, not from believing you deserved to be. people have the right to make choices you disagree with - even choices you think are mistakes. that’s the system.

if you want power, the answer isn’t to insult the electorate. it’s to understand them, adapt, and become more persuasive. and if you can’t or won’t do that, then standing on the sidelines and blaming voters isn’t a moral high ground - it’s just proof that you couldn’t win them over.

this isn’t for actual party people in politics. they know this already. this is for those in socal media who’s new to this and don’t know how to deal with a situation like this.
