I'll never understand men demanding dowry
as a man, your entire ego should rise up and fight against another man (FIL) /their family giving you something to take care of their daughter.
as a man with ego, you must understand what a dowry means.
they are giving you dowry because they think you are incapable of looking after yourself, your home, build your life, get a job etc.,
damn.. does it not hurt your ego?
and do you know why they are giving you dowry? they think that as a man, you are incapable of looking after your wife (your one and only sole soulmate) lovingly and your children if they don't pay you.
as a man, isn't it insulting to your ego that they think that you'll only look after someone or can handle adult responsibilities in a society only if you are paid for it?
as a man, does it not hurt your ego that those who are giving you dowry are literally belittling your entire manhood and masculinity?
as a man with ego, don't you think people are gonna talk about your accomplishments as,
"oh he? prakash? what do you mean he did all of this with his hardwork? his in-laws gifted him everything. that's why he's travelling in that car now"
imagine - the entire society shaming you and claiming your hardwork because it's gifted as a dowry.
as a man, do you not think it's insulting? your ego should be boiling.
if decades of education and awareness on why dowry is evil can't change your perspective on fighting against this,
atleast let your ego as a masculine man fight against it.
pathetic and shameless. remember, you'd never be respected or deemed worthy if you accept dowry as a man.
now, go and fight against it with your ego.
your ego should hate dowry in its entirety.
