Encryption, engineering priorities and wasted talent

Restored from Instagram stories ·

so basically he was being flamed for e2e in arattai taking this long.

i am just shocked that he said //this kind of code cannot be entrusted to ai//

he’s zero idea what’s happening with the engineers and someone who’s reporting to him is actually bamboozling him or he’s bad engineers.

the latter part cannot be true since i know a lot of really talented people who work with zoho.

e2e is solved. everyone knows how to implement it. for a $billion co, taking this long to bring e2e for arattai is a joke.

i’ve been an extensive huge heavy user of zoho’s products as part of our companies and i’ve always found them to be super slow, heavy, big bugs, needs so much of their other softwares to offer me full stack solution and close to zero customer support.

and then we switched over to gsuite (since i personally hate microsoft) and we’re good.

i recently checked zoho’s products again and the result was still the same. the bugs i found and reported years ago which were promised to be fixed still existed lmao.

so many of my friends work in zoho. my classmates, the best talented people i know.

and i know that they languish there. the one thing they all like is the people friendly culture. otherwise, it’s bad in terms of engineering culture.

an indian company who employs heavily in tamilnadu - some of the best talented people cannot be allowed to fail.

idc what the founder thinks or what their ideology is. the company must not allowed to be fail at all since we lack companies at their scale which can absorb all of their talent. (one reason why we need to have more companies)

what zoho needs is a complete restructuring. their top management is so bad. they’ve a very bad understanding of what ai can do and cannot do.

they’ve mistakenly paused hiring thinking ai can solve their problems thus losing out on top talents and haven’t got rid of leaches inside the company sitting on top positions doing nothing other than shining their seats and preventing talented people from coming up.

and i am willing to help.

not just zoho, any people intensive it services company which has dwindling revenue, planning to lay off people - put a pause.

we’re doing this for multiple american companies and i’d gladly do it in a heartbeat for the best indian companies here.

i’ll prevent you from laying off people. especially the right ones.

instead i’ll help you lay off the fat management layer. same cost benefits for the company. i’ll help you hire the right engineers, and find the best among your engineers become efficient managers -> every manager will become an ic inside your company. will help structure the best program so that all of your engineers know how to use claude code/codex raw in cli. i’ll help you do the right ai purchases for your entire team.

i will help your entire company become 2x productive at minimum so that you can scale your offerings.

i know ai is a scapegoat to layoff people. don’t. you’re laying off the wrong people.

so many companies and industries across the world need capable ai engineers. it’s actually the time for indian it companies to shine and you need a shake up.
