roll back few hundred years.

jesters and entertainers exist to entertain the rich. if the kingdom was richer and people have higher spending power, they’ll entertain everyone.

they were showered with money, gifts and so on. they got bigger stages based on how popular they were and so on.

but they always remained an entertainer.

before mass distributor social media existed, in the recent days with the advent of modern cinema, these entertainers were raised to the position of demigods.

then covid happened. short form content that gamed human attentiveness came in.

made sure anyone can get a stage to entertain.

now, every production studio wants distribution for their films. higher the number of people who’ve their own following they cast, easier it is to make their own followers get a ticket to view their film.

ability to attract people to theatre is the only thing that matters here.

i am just happy that the world is returning to normalcy. entertainers losing their relevance and only in demand if they’ve followers for themselves is a much needed correction putting the entertainers back to who they originally were.

entertainers. that’s all.

not policy makers. not leaders. not those who can influence anything. their time of stardom is gonna end.

like how people love animated films,

30 second short videos made it easier for ai to mimic human moves. now we’ll have full fledged movies made with characters who don’t exist in real life at all.

cost for making a film will reduce heavily and entertainment will become cheaper.

a much needed correction if the art of filmmaking, story telling and making a movie to entertain need to survive.

now those who want to? your barrier to entry is destroyed. you don’t need crores of money, heavy interest big money man financier or a big douchebag actor whom you’ve to beg to come to act to make a film.

a computer and a studio would do. online streaming is enough to distribute and sell.

no one can prevent you from telling your story.
