one of the best tech proponents ever in the modern world is the porn industry.

1. they brought in the cable,
2. they made VCRs cheap,
3. then they made internet proliferate everywhere,
4. they made streaming faster than ever,
5. they are the reasons why cloud tech became so fast moving,
6. they bought in the digital rights management's common usage into the internet super heavily (artists should be thanking them)
7. they bought in heavy developments in payment gateway tech.
8. they bought heavy development to the live video streaming
9. the porn industry pushed for the development of digital cameras since they didn't want to develop film rolls outside their hub (since it also lead to major leaks)

porn industry basically pushed for major tech changes, and have used the best of internet's technologies to the max. limit possible.

seo practices ? you can't beat them.

thousands of videos all which have gifs. on them which will run when you hover over them to tell you a synopsis - all of which will load in less than 3 seconds ? try beating them.

most web devs will struggle loading a static site in 3 seconds.

try putting a porn page through pagespeed insights and you will get what i am saying.

streaming speed ? you can't beat them.

search who pushed for widespread ADSL internet connectivity which enabled you to get 3G ? the porn industry.

you all are seriously underestimating what porn has contributed to modern tech.

having said all of this,

i do not have to tell you that porn industry is evil.

you'd have known it is evil when they literally pushed for tech development only for their own selfish reasons.

you can't ignore their contributions to modern tech. you can only hide it from most people.

and we are all just riding over their back on the tech that they developed to do good stuff too.

please add this to the porn discourse we already had. this is most certainly true.

we often underestimate the power of horny-ness pushing the boundaries of technology.
