food:
- the points i am gonna write now are those that are detached from the reality of those who are working hard right now, students who can barely catch a proper meal, people who have trouble cooking and order or prep meals in a rush etc.,
all of the following i am gonna write are infact luxury with respect to time and there's no need to do this.
but when you reach a position where you could have the luxury of time and not an immediate need to work to earn money, the following might become food for thought.
i'm warning you again - until then, treat it like a philosophy. good to read, but don't follow. there's no need to. the world won't end just because you do not follow.
food is the ultimate source of energy for us to live. the modern world had made it easy for us to access (as it should) but it's inherently necessary for a human to understand why and how.
the food is the flow of energy to all basic living beings here. basic physics. the energy flow takes place via the food chain/web.
if we draw a pyramid for this flow of energy, as top species - we take the top place. we consume and extract energy from everything.
therefore it's necessary for us to learn cooking as a way to still be a human in the fast moving techno-capital world as it allows to still associate ourselves with the basic energy flow in our environment.
no matter the food you eat, let it be vegetarian, non-vegetarian - there's a fulfilling process if you are involved in making/growing, rearing/tending to it, then farming your produce or despatching it and the ability to do so.
then you bring them to the kitchen, prepare them, cook them, put it on the table - pay respect to the food that's giving you it's flow of energy, do not do anything else when you're eating other than eating it. don't talk, nothing.
just eat. see the food mindfully and eat.
for people who can't start from the growing part, they atleast start from the farming/dispatching part.
some who couldn't start from there start from the cooking part. (which most of the households already do)
-----
bear in mind that this has no co relation to a sustainable life style, and not affordable, won't help people at large to accelerate, won't fix poverty or any other real world problems.
that's why i told you to consider them like philosophy. do it when you can afford that time.
this is just for passive knowledge consumption - NO ACTION necessary.
do not guilt yourselves. there's no need to. food choices are purely personal.
