this is where behavioural psychology comes into the picture. I am not saying every single one who didn't interact are someone who despises knowledge.
But how common internet has fine tuned our brains into accepting content as knowledge and not.
First it was written books, then videos explaining concepts, then short videos explaining them, then animated videos, then 3 D videos, now short form reels twerking to give knowledge, AR+VR will overtake soon.
People think that it makes you consume more.
But the end result is you have tuned your brain to have very short attention span in accepting knowledge that the average IQ is automatically going down.
If you have a kid in your home, throw away the TV into the garbage bin. That thing is an idiot Box.
Get them long form books and make them understand them.
The art of imaginative thinking to understand something has been lost. Now everything has to be seen with your eyes to understand.
The number of IQs in humans around 150 are reducing faster than the rate we had in the past 5 decades.
learning something isn't a straight path going from point A to point B
Learning something is going from point A to point Z, interacting with so many different points on the way.
That's why these short form learning is as good as flash cards which can take out info from secondary brain to primary brain.
In modern times, I have seen people who take substances and psychedelics to be far more impressive in absorbing knowledge than actual people because they can never travel in a straight line from point A to point B like how the current internet education through videos go around.
They always analyse from different perceptions, take a long route understanding a lot of things before traversing from point A to point Z making my hypothesis totally valid.
Not that I am supporting the use of external stimulants (I don't use them personally), I am just pointing out to the obvious fact which is a detrimental result of what we have become like fast absorbing content.
Food can be fast food (under exceptional non healthy circumstances) but, Not knowledge.
I believe external stimulant users should be subjected to IQ tests in their relevant domains to understand how far their thinking ability has been increased before and after usage.
anything that takes away the imaginative power of the brain especially during childhood around you should be crushed and thrown away. Especially TVs.
I still consider that as an idiot Box with the ability to degenerate you. The only reason I stick around that is for me to the bare ability to maintain my absolutely zero EQ points so that I can talk socially to people.
I grew without a TV and I am sure as hell, my kids are growing without one too.
When we have kids who believe in what people in the movies are achieving as real, smack them in the head. They get to watch movies when they understand it's for entertainment and the fight sequences are choreographed for our entertainment alone. Without that maturity, I didn't watch my first movie. The first movie I watched was the Gandhi film starring Ben Kingsley.
Books - the ability to sit and read them. Understanding and imagine brings the actual ability to think your problems and analysing them. Watch your analytical skills grow as you try to understand a concept in your book slowly without any visual aids like videos.
A difficult thing to practice now if you are engrained in it. But a must to-do for kids who aren't affected by learning disabilities.
very few realize the implications of being manipulated into not having enough knowledge span. When your attention span has been reduced to 1 min, you won't know what's true and what's not. You can't even fact check when the source itself is wrong/or of a bad grade as I explained in my post. Little would you realize you are turning into mind controlled zombies with the ability to think of what the media feeds you.
