this is literally akin to the Renaissance event or any other major techno - cultural event which bought us here.
however I'd argue that much of our post modern world techno progress and techno optimism comes from the world war 2 and post war scientists from different countries who all went to the US' military and space labs to bring forth everything that hell can bring out.
but but.
look at this. look at the countless applications. literally building an efficient super computer? energy efficient ones? each and every damn thing.

the infighting on the paper release for credits in the superconductor drama makes me want to believe that this is legit work.
while half of the biggest researchers either don't want to believe or is shocked, I know there's atleast one who's trying to replicate it by Monday.
if this is legit, three of them will share a Nobel prize for sure.
