el salvador just went 365 days without a single murder. no homicides - nothing for an entire year.
if you must - take a look at the murder rates before this past 1 year. it's actually told as one of the most dangerous countries to ever live, ranking only after countries in warzone.
prime reason? gangs.
what did they do? called in the army. rounded them up. cleaned the cities street by street. house by house. everyone who has ever a criminal record of murder or serious charge in their name were rounded up.
sent to prison. harsh conditions. there's a separate program going in prison for them. (we'll talk about that later. international media called this horrific)
i don't know what taunts people to romanticise people who do crime. they romanticise serial killers, murderers, gang bosses, etc.,
everything you shouldn't do in a sane society.
in SF, NYC and every ultra woke place in US, criminals are allowed to tear up the place. the authorities don't even take action on them - citing their racial background, their upbringing and they say these guys had it tough.
funny news ? malls and shops aren't supposed to have armed guards. if people steal you can't stop them
that's the high sense of morality that these guys feel that they have towards people who are doing this, because they feel these are reparations of the earlier injustice that they did to black people.
no. this doesn't right then. this just forces them to the stereotype narrative.
this is exactly what's known as woke politics.
if you really want to help black people, make higher education affordable. make health care affordable.
allow housing - allow zoning more areas for the same instead of not doing that to keep rich places not lose their value. allow multi-storey residences. stop giving multi storey zonings for offices and penthouses alone.
this is how you solve them.
let me not get too deep into that.
the point is -- in a large enough city in the US, the number of criminals who did 90% of the crime were less than 1000. less than a handful who did the majority of the crime. they were charged, released, charged, released.
if you replicate that and plot the same for India as well, in almost all the cities - the same pattern would emerge.
a handful of people would be incharge of the majority of the crimes that are done here directly or indirectly.
often most of these criminals grow under the shadow/blessings of some politicians.
what worked in elsalvador is the fact - the very sure fact that you'd be punished if you commit a crime than the harshness of the punishment, actually deters crime.
were some activists angry that so many people were arrested and locked up in elsalvador? yes. we're they angry that they were treated harshly? yes.
but does it matter? activists don't run governments nor do they live in one. don't allow them to do both of that.
the people do and the people are happy.
