one of the things that i'd forever can't wrap my heads around is the absolute dog-shit move on removing plastic straws all based on a report by a 9 yo kid.
yes, a freaking 9 yo.
now i have to deal with a paper straw that gets soggy and ruins my drink. yes. the soggy paper leaches into the drink.
do you know what's worse? those freaking idiots even replaced the plastic straw from alpenliebe lollipop. it's a lollipop. how's a paper supposed to stand ? it literally leaves paper taste in your tongue.
all possibly by a smug ass 9 yo who probably counted wrong.
i love places who slip in a stainless steel straw. stylish, fancy and i like it.
what about other stuff where packaging needs to be much more accessible ?
for example lollipop. an SS straw there doesn't make sense.
why can't we think about better garbage processing, a way to chemically/organically disintegrate plastics instead of a dumbass way to remove it from applications?
is this all because a freaking crawling disgusting piece of shit reptile like a turtle got straws in it's nostrils ?
see. turtles are freaking reptiles. cold blooded. they don't even know you helped them.
they are assholes anyway (i have considerable experience with them to confirm that)
come on people. we need to think better.
this is a problem with our society. don't ask me for alternatives.
the problem with a self obsessed pandering woke society which stifles innovation.
ask the ones who gave you a silly alternative such as a paper for better alternative.
a truly better alternative doesn't punish the tool. it will actually ensure how the tool is stored.
let me explain.
you witness someone murdering another human with a knife
you don't go around confiscating every kitchen knife in every home because someone else whom you don't even know did some stupid doofus shit.
you punish the person who used it wrongly.
let's say a parent keeps knives around kids who use it unknowingly and hurt themselves.
you don't punish every parent out there for having knives.
rather you tell them proper storing methods and you tell them how to do that.
you punish those who don't store it properly.
now apply that analogy to everything that's politicised.
create better methods on how plastics should be disposed. punish those who don't.
science is advanced enough. dedicate enough resources to develop methods to process it with 100% efficiency so it doesn't damage the environment.
regulations are supposed to do this.
again., apply this analogy to everything.
you'll probably have better solutions. and yes, this isn't about plastic straws. i took that as an example to tell you to have a different perspective in coming up with solutions to problems we have.
not all solutions are effective.
and please, let me have my plastic straw back for my lollipop.
